Schultz' Autogenic training is a relaxation technique using self-focused attention and self-hypnosis. J. H. Schultz, a German psychiatrist, got the idea of inducing the idea of calm, heaviness, warmth that characterizes hypnotic state, so that the individual becomes capable of creating in him a state of inner relaxation.
